Key Personnel

Ben Casey

Ben has over 30 years of experience in construction and insurance-related large loss construction. As President, he supervises insurance construction projects from large loss cases and has averaged an annual product of $50M a year.

His project types have covered a wide range of industries including commercial, hospitality, health care, federal, industrial and higher education both in the United States and Internationally. Ben graduated with a Civil Engineering (Structural) degree from Canterbury University and CIT in New Zealand. Ben holds both a GC and Contractor Roofing licenses in multiple states including Florida, Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi, Georgia, North and South Carolina to name a few and has several certifications including USACE – Contractor Quality Control, HAZWOPER 40 hour, HAZWOPER 8 hour supervisor, and ISNETWorld Third Party Safety.

Brian Schupbach
LEED AP, Executive Vice President – Large Loss Sales

Brian has 30 years of experience in the construction industry and over 20 years specifically in insurance commercial construction, restoration, and reconstruction. As an Executive Vice President – Large Loss Sales, Brian is responsible for developing and maintaining strategic client relationships as well as managing insurance construction projects. Prior to Express, Brian served in similar roles at several construction companies including: Interstate Restoration, Jim Black Construction, LVI Services Inc, Insurance Contractors & Assoc, American Building Contractors, and Best Construction.

Brian has led teams that have produced over $1.3 B in construction in his career and specialize in managing large-scale projects within the US and Internationally. Brian graduated from Arizona State University – Business Defense Language in Spanish and holds several certifications including Institute – Spanish licensed EPA Asbestos Building Inspector (AHERA) and holds several certifications including LEED AP, HAAG Commercial & Residential Roofing Inspector #201701429, General Contractor Class B, General Contractor Class C, IICRC, WRT, ASCR, Asbestos Awareness Training, Mold Mitigation Expert Certificate, OSHA30, and OSHA HAZWOPER 40. Brian is a proud veteran and served in the US Army as a military intelligence officer.

Barry Rice
Environmental Health & Safety Director

Barry is a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) with 20 years of experience supporting EHS efforts in various industries, including environmental restoration, heavy industrial manufacturing, mechanical field service, automotive and aircraft manufacturing support, residential and commercial construction, and disaster restoration. Specific experience in the disaster restoration field ranges from corporate safety program development, EHS training, and field work support from small-scale residential to large-scale, multi-million dollar commercial.

Barry is adept at understanding a customer’s specific EHS compliance needs and policies, integrating those needs into EHS practices at the jobsite, and ensuring Express Project Managers and Supervisors understand how to manage the needs on a daily basis. Conversely, Barry will also communicate the Environmental, Health, and Safety requirements that apply to Express to the customer to ensure compliance through the duration of the project.

Luke Teuscher
Senior Project Manager

Luke Teuscher is a Senior Project Manager covering the state of Florida. His role includes roofing jobs ranging from 500 to 17,000 square in multiple roofing materials; concrete tile, asphalt, and flat roof systems. He managed a 1.7 million square feet concrete tile reroof in one HOA with a completion in 6 months. He has 14 years of experience in the construction industry across residential and commercial zoning. Four years of his career was also spent at John Deere after graduating with a degree in journalism from Oklahoma State University. His role includes day-to-day activities helping other field personnel and project managers to work as efficiently as possible. In his free time, Luke spends time with his family going to baseball games and looking for the perfect beach.

Paige Kirkwood
Vice President of Business Operations

Paige Kirkwood has over 20 years of experience in large-loss commercial construction and restoration across multiple markets including multifamily, hospitality, healthcare, retail, higher education and municipality. As vice president of business operations for US Roofing systems, she is responsible for back-office management, sub-contractor compliance, contract administration, field support, and new account set-up for all commercial projects within the United States and Internationally. She lives in Bedford, Texas, and in her free time, she enjoys watching sports.

Nick Overmyer
Licensing & Safety Manager

Nick has over 10 years of experience in the industry specializing in property management, licensing, and safety. At US Roofing Sytesms, Nick oversees safety for all divisions including subcontractors, and has managed a wide range of projects up to $100 million dollars. Oversee national safety initiatives and monitor all job sites to ensure state and federal safety requirements are being followed. He prescreens all subcontractors to ensure safe work habits are implemented on our job sites. Manage the acquisition and maintenance of all licenses nationwide. Nick graduated with a degree in business management from Ball State University and is OSHA30, HAZWOPER40, OSHA510, and 50 TON USG Master License certified.

David Pritchard
Senior National Project Director

David Pritchard has over 30 years of experience in the construction industry as a senior project coordinator, estimator, and building consultant. His experience includes reconstruction and restoration of power plants, industrial production facilities, office buildings, hotels, schools, and medical facilities. His expertise includes many large losses generally in the $1M – $25M range. David holds several construction licenses across the country and has worked in multiple international settings. He has a MS in Industrial Hygiene and A BS in Chemistry and spent several years as a an EPA Certified Response Manager decommissioning and cleaning up some of the most polluted sites in the US. His main hobby is tai chi.

Christopher D. McGovern
Senior National Project Director

Christopher has over 28 years of experience in the restoration industry, and his primary focus has been on servicing clients in the commercial, industrial, medical, hospitality, education, and multifamily sectors. Currently, he is responsible for managing and oversite of multiple restoration and reconstruction projects throughout the country. Preparing detailed estimates, schedules, and budgets for our clients as well as the numerous parties associated with a complex insurance claim such as property owners & managers, insurance adjusters, consultants, specialists, as well as the Express’ reconstruction and mitigation specialist. Prepares and presents all the necessary paperwork including contracts, change orders, budgets, schedules, and assorted other construction-related documents.

Matt Grisham
National Project Director

Matt Grisham has served in a multitude of construction roles from estimation and safety to production and supervisory capacities. He has 15 years of roofing experience in the construction industry and 10 years specifically in insurance commercial and residential construction, restoration, and reconstruction. He holds an A General Contractors License as certified by the International Code Council.

His role as a National Project Director requires damage identification and documentation in addition to estimation and code verification/compliance. Matt has overseen and produced over $70M in construction projects in his career and specializes in the micro details of estimation, codes, and installation practices. Matt is happily married and being a dad to his daughter is his most cherished role.

Hunter Breit
Assistant Project Manager

Hunter Breit is a graduating senior in Construction Management at Louisiana State University. He has 4 years of general construction industry experience learned through various internship opportunities during his time at LSU and 2 years of specific experience in multi-family residential roofing and restoration for large-loss claims. In his time at school, Hunter learned an abundance of management and communication qualities through numerous leadership roles which he has translated to his career in the construction industry.

As an Assistant Project Manager, he is committed to ensuring accurate and comprehensive damage surveys/reports that will aid his teammates in the construction process and in the development of client relations. He is a certified sUAS pilot and is well versed in the systems that make drone surveying the leading technology in the construction industry. In his free time, Hunter enjoys coaching and developing the youth rugby program in South Louisiana.
